Introduction of Department of Biomedical Engineering
The Department of Biomedical Engineering is?a department that can systematically learn in a form that integrates physics, electronics, and biology necessary for the development of measurement and diagnostic techniques related to medicine. Based on flexible ideas that are not confined to the academic field so far, you will gain the ability to research and develop engineering technologies that meet the needs of the medical field. In the lower grades, students will learn about basic subjects related to the mechanics of medical devices and measurement / diagnosis techniques in addition to mathematics, physics, and biology. In the upper grade, students will learn about medical photonics, medical ultrasound technology, medical device engineering, medical mechatronics, that are related to medical applications. In addition, you can acquire planning design ability, research and development ability, and logical communication ability through the laboratory experience assignment in the second half of the third year and graduation thesis of the fourth year.
Purpose and Features of Education Through comprehensive learning on integration of physics and electronic information engineering, necessary for measurement and diagnostic technologies in the modern medical care; we are fostering human resources who will carry out research and development on innovative biomedical engineering technologies, while adopting their flexible thinking which is not restricted to conventional academic disciplines.
